Naperville 203 is hiring a temporary Media Specialist for a planned staff leave December 4, 2017 through March 19, 2018.  Naperville 203 seeks to create a dialogue with and engage local audiences, including parents, community members, business and civic leaders in the mission of the District. We communicate largely through our website, social media and the traditional news media.

Naperville 203 seeks an exceptional individual with traditional news and social media experience to create content to support a targeted media outreach strategy. Website updates and posting of stories on the websites are an important part of this position. Naperville 203 uses a Content Management System (CMS) for our websites. Video experience is a plus but not required for this temporary position.

Community High School District 99 is hiring a Communications Specialist. Help to grow community engagement and trust through regular, planned and strategic communications with the D99 community. Evanston Township High School is hiring a Communications Specialist to provide day-to-day support for the school's public relations and communications efforts. This position requires someone with excellent interpersonal and written communication, organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to multi-task and complete tasks through a lens of equity. This person will be part of a three-person team in a fast-paced, dynamic, never-boring environment, and will assist on all aspects of external and internal communications, event planning, and cross-departmental coordination within the school district.

Under the supervision of the Director of Communications & Engagement, the Communications Specialist will serve as the initial point-of-contact for all students, parents, staff, outside agencies and members of the public seeking assistance or services from the Communications Office. The Communications Specialist generates, edits, publishes and shares engaging content each school day (e.g. original text, photos, video clips and news) for the ETHS website and social media channels. The person in this role also coordinates online submissions to the district’s online event calendar and helps coordinate the school’s email campaigns and email distribution system.

The Communications Specialist performs administrative duties which include maintaining department budgets and inventory, monitoring and reporting on media activity via Critical Mention, compiling information and analyzing data, and coordinating all service and facilities requests and supply orders for the department. The Specialist manages the workflow of Communications Office projects and events under guidelines set by the Director of Communications & Engagement. The ideal candidate is savvy in providing customer service that is affirming and thorough, enjoys working with both teenagers and adults, has solid writing, editing and problem-solving skills, and has an ability to manage multiple tasks and projects on a daily basis.
