School Communications Positions

The Science & Arts Academy (SAA) is seeking a Director of Marketing and Communications.  SAA is an independent, non-denominational, coeducational, not-for-profit day school for students in junior kindergarten through eighth grade located in Des Plaines, IL. 

The Director of Marketing and Communications oversees SAA’s internal and external communications to enhance the visibility of the school and strengthen the relationships between the school and its constituent groups, including prospective families, alumni and friends of the school. S/he develops and manages all aspects of the school’s communications plan, including publications, media relations, special event publicity, and online platforms.

High School District 214 is seeking an Adult Education and Family Literacy Manager. This grant-funded position will directly supervise the Adult Education & Family Literacy program and services, and report directly to the Director of Community Engagement and Outreach. The District 214 Education Foundation is seeking a Communications Intern to help us tell our story. Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following: creating and updating content for the Foundation website; creating innovative content for the Alumni Facebook page toward a goal of consistent engagement; drafting communications pieces to support upcoming events and giving campaigns; identifying and creating content for donor packets and staff, including summaries of giving opportunities and success stories; executing projects that tell the Foundation's story in unique ways, including through video; and brainstorming, with the Foundation team, strategic initiatives and new communications opportunities that can advance giving and engagement.
